• Fans of the Assassin’s Creed series are being given an opportunity to be part of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows as a voice actor.
• They will be doing their “auditions” on TikTok by recording Duets with scenes from the games.
• The winners will be flown to London to record dialogue for a secondary NPC in the game.

Ever wanted to be in the Assassin’s Creed universe? No, we don’t mean as the main character you’ll be controlling, but you yourself being placed into the game world. This may just be your chance to do so, at least in voice.

Developers Ubisoft have launched a competition for fans of the series and players to record voicelines for a character in the upcoming title Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and the best part is that you can enter the competition simply by uploading a video to TikTok and including a certain hashtag.

This is the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Dubbing Challenge which will run on TikTok from 18th June to 2nd July this year, ahead of the launch of the game on 15th November. Players can participate by selecting one of the few scenes that will be posted on social media channels for Assassin’s Creed or Ubisoft, and then create a duet of the scene yourself using the Duet Feature on TikTok.

You can then share it using the hashtag #AssassinsCreedDubbingChallenge. Ubisoft will be combing through social media to find the very best recordings and duets of fans and players.

“The best performers will be invited to London to attend a recording session animated by a professional voice actor in order to become the voice of a character in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and learn more about the fascinating work of voice actors,” the developers explain in a statement sent to Hypertext.

“There will be multiple scenes available to dub, and the contest is available in 7 different languages (English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese),” they add.

Winners will be announced before the end of the competition, and they will be contacted to join Ubisoft in London to become part of the game as a secondary NPC they will be voicing. This NPC will be added to Assassin’s Creed Shadows once it launches and then you will be able to contact them with either Naoe or Yasuke.

You can participate as many times as you want, as in you can make as many Duets with the Assassin’s Creed scenes as you want. Ubisoft will then select the best performer for each language. The selection criteria will be performance only, the number of likes and comments does not have any impact.  

Winners will be contacted on TikTok, so make sure to have your messages open. You will only be contacted by the official Ubisoft pages for the language you have selected to voice.
