Total War: Warhammer III is another day one Game Pass title

After a delay that pushed it into next year Total War: Warhammer III now has a new launch date of 17th February along with the news that it will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

“By far our biggest Total War ever, Total War: Warhammer III will feature more factions, a larger map, more mechanics, a deeper storyline, major systems reworks, and brand-new battle types to sink your teeth into. Invade the Chaos Realms and fight titanic survival battles against the infinite hordes of the Chaos Gods to retrieve vital artifacts for your war effort. Embrace or fight against Chaos with a diverse set of campaigns, each providing a unique sandbox of possible outcomes,” reads an announcement from Ben Barrett, Senior Website Editor at developer Creative Assembly.

Some selling points for Total War: Warhammer III include nine unique lord characters, six factions, “endless replayability” and the moniker as the biggest game in the series.

“Total War: Warhammer III brings an explosive conclusion with fan-favorite factions like snowy Kislev and enigmatic Grand Cathay, facing off against tides of daemons and monsters from the Chaos Realms. As each faction leader strives to attain power immortal from the breast of a dying god, you must manage your empire, field incredible armies, and exploit powerful magic and weapons to attain victory on the battlefield,” Barrett adds.

Also released recently for the game is a trailer for the Ogre Kingdoms faction. Back when we actually played the physical Warhammer game Ogres was one of our favourite armies followed closely by the Beasts of Chaos.

In this trailer we see the Ogres do what they do best: fight and eat. We also get to see Greasus Goldtooth which we maintain still has one of the best miniatures ever.

While Total War: Warhammer III can be played without the need of an additional purchase through Xbox Game Pass on PC, it can also still be bought outright through the Windows Store or on Steam.
