Marvel’s Avengers continues its march to add in many costumes based on the MCU versions of popular heroes with the latest being Thor.
“Does he look to be in a gaming mood? Inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor’s Marvel Studios’ The Avengers Outfit features a god forming an alliance to thwart his brother’s plans,” reads an announcement.
You can see what this costume looks like in the header image above. It’s clearly not Chris Hemsworth but… close enough?
When Marvel’s Avengers was first revealed to the public it received massive backlash owing to the fact that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix had made the choice to create their own version of the Avengers instead of using the existing ones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Since the launch of the game more than a year ago, however, costumes based on the MCU have been slowly added into the game both to give players what they originally asked for, and to profit off of the real money marketplace in the game.
Thor is far from the first MCU-inspired costume, and it isn’t even the first time that the MCU prince of Asgard has appeared in the game.
Below is an alphabetical list of costumes have already been added in the past and are available for purchase. The movie in brackets is the source of the costume’s look.
As you can see by the length of the list there’s already a lot of MCU here, but there can always be more. As Iron Man fans, we have to point out that there’s many more armours that have not been used yet.
