Upgrade your gaming setup with an AOC G3 series monitor

According to the most recent data from Steam, 1920 x 1080p monitors are still used by 66.5 percent of PC gamers on the platform. While a FullHD resolution is good enough, upgrading to a higher resolution monitor will improve your experience in your gaming, movies and even work.

For many gamers, stepping up from 1920 x 1080p displays to QuadHD (2560 x 1440) isn’t as big of a leap as you may imagine. You may have to tweak your in-game settings a bit but with the right features that’s a small price to pay for better visuals.

One brand that offers unbelievable value for money is AOC and its G3 series of monitors offers something for everybody whether you want to leap into 4K gaming or take one tentative step into the world of QHD.

Today we’ll be taking a closer look at the AOC CQ27G3S, AOC CQ32G3SE and the AOC CU34G3S monitors.

AOC CQ27G3S

This curved monitor measures in at 27 inches and features a 2560 x 1440p resolution. There is also HDR10 support for more striking visuals and support for AMD’s tear-free technology, Freesync Premium.

This should work especially well considering the AOC CQ27G3S features 165Hz refresh rate. If you’re an esports players then this might be your next monitor.

Content creators who are just starting out will also enjoy the fact that the AOC CQ27G3S covers 89 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut with a colour accuracy of Delta E<2 out of the box. In terms of connectivity you will find two HDMI 2.0 ports as well as a single DisplayPort 1.2.

While the monitor doesn’t have its own speakers, it does have an earphone jack that you could plug your speakers into if you wish.

AOC CQ32G3SE

The AOC CQ32G3SE is what we like to call the big sister to the AOC CQ27G3S. You will still find a 2560 x 1440p resolution only this time it’s on a 31.5inch display. While the monitors are similar there are some notable differences such as the AOC CQ32G3SE sporting 93 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

This monitor is also curved and features the same two HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.2 paired with an earphone port.
If you’ve been using a 27inch monitor for a while the AOC CQ32G3SE is a worthy upgrade for your festive gaming sessions.

AOC CU34G3S

Measuring in at a whopping 34inches, the AOC CU34G3S is the biggest of the trio of monitors we’re featuring today.

This curved monitor is a widescreen format so its resolution is 3440 x 1440p and as with all of the above monitors it makes use of a VA panel. The AOC CU34G3S also features a gentle 1 000R curve for more immersive gaming.

The AOC CU34G3S is also loaded with ports including two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports.

This monitor also sports two 5W speakers just in case you want to connect your console and PC to the same monitor but don’t want to fuss with cabling. There is an earphone port as well if you prefer using external speakers.
