The first full week of the new year has come and gone and tactical FPS game Ready or Not has come out on top as a top seller.
This is according to Steam Database (SteamDB) which compiles a list of the best sellers on Valve’s storefront every week according to revenue generated in that week.
Ready or Not launched in the middle of December into Early Access and has enjoyed a lot of success since then. Despite being a smaller game it has already raked in 23 929 reviews with 94 percent of them being positive. This leaves the game with a “Very Positive” rating on Steam.
“Ready or Not is an intense, tactical, first-person shooter that depicts a modern-day world in which SWAT police units are called to defuse hostile and confronting situations,” reads the description.
It’s planned to be in Early Access for 12 months before releasing its 1.0.

Many of the games here are familiar from past top selling lists with Project Zomboid making a surprise appearance. The oldest title here by many years – it has been around in some capacity for a decade – Project Zomboid has had new life breathed into it with a massive new update and a roadmap into the future.
Finally two pre-orders have made it onto the list in the form of Monster Hunter Rise (launching 12th January) and Elden Ring (24th February). It’s not too surprising given the immense fandom of the Monster Hunter genre as well as the beloved status of developer / publisher FromSoftware.
It also helps the pre-orders of both games that players could give them a try before parting with any money. Monster Hunter Rise still has a freely-accessible demo and Elden Ring had a series of “network tests” which was akin to beta access.
