We’re used to Twitter being a channel of communication for announcements and releases, but we’re not used to it being the sources of such news, but that has happened with some new promotional material for The Batman.
The official Twitter Movies account (@Twitter Movies) has released a pair of posters it claims are exclusive to the platform.
All this really means is that Twitter Movies got to reveal the posters are there’s really nothing stopping other sites from hosting the posters now too.
The first poster is rather simple and is a closeup of the Batman’s cowl. Something interesting that we didn’t particularly notice from other media released so far is the fine stitching around the seams.
We’re used to seeing the cowl as a solid material such as some graphite composite in the Christopher Nolan movies or the infamous hard rubber of Tim Burton.
It seems Matt Reeves and his costume and prop departments have gone for a more leather look here, something cosplayers are probably taking note of.
He’s not Batman. He’s THE BATMAN.

The second poster has a lot more to look at as we get some clear-ish looks at the costumes of “the Bat and the Cat”.
Robert Pattinson’s version of the Dark Knight seems to have metal arrows on his gauntlet here. We don’t recall these having a moment in the trailers released so far so maybe it’s something saved for the movie itself.
Some people were apprehensive of Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman but the costume here is fantastic and so is her acting, at least from what the trailers have shown as.
As the tweets and the posters have stated multiple times here The Batman releases in cinemas on 4th March. Right now there haven’t been any announced delays and South African cinemas will get the movie on the same day.
We can’t decide who we want to get our claws into more.
