You can pre-load the 70GB of God of War PC today

Previous PlayStation exclusive God of War (2016) will make its way to PC this week on 14th January and those who already own it can start pre-loading soon.

The 70GB game will be available for pre-loading on Steam from 08:00 PT time, according to developer Santa Monica Studio.

Here in South Africa that is 18:00, so by the time you read this published story it should only be a few hours of waiting before you can start the download.

As you can see in the tweet above, aside from the GIF of Kratos, only Steam is mentioned despite the fact that the game is being sold on the Epic Game Store too.

Other games have had pre-loads available on the Epic Games Store so we’re not sure why it has been left out here.

Along with the announcement of the pre-load Santa Monica Studio also reminded the public about the many features PC players will enjoy with this port. Nvidia DLSS, Nvidia Reflex, AMD Super Resolution, enhanced visuals and more are all on offer here.

The studio links to this blog post about the features but there’s also a trailer you can watch embedded at the bottom of this story.

For more on the God of War PC port check out our story about the system requirements needed to run it, which revealed the 70GB size of the game.

God of War (2016) comes with a massive recommendation and this PC port is the perfect opportunity for newcomers to give it a spin. We can even see those with both a PlayStation 4 or 5, as well as a PC double dipping here to give this great game another go around.

The journey of Kratos and Atreus is that compelling and we need to burn some time before the release of the sequel – Ragnarok – some time this year.
