Dying Light 2 claims 6 of the top 10 Steam seller spots

With another week passed it’s time to look back at what sold best on Steam, and Dying Light 2 has handily beat the competition.

Third party tracking site Steam Database (SteamDB) provides a recap every week, organising the top selling games on the platform by revenue generated that week.

By this measure Dying Light 2 has claimed six of the top 10 spaces, but this may be a slight error.

A game can appear multiple times in the list because of the way Valve organises its listings on Steam. A game that offered multiple buying options will have those options listed separately, which means it can appear more than once on the list.

Dying Light 2’s Steam page only has three buying options: the standard edition, Deluxe and Ultimate. It’s then a bit of a mystery how these three options spawned into six placements on the list.

SteamDB even made a comment on Twitter about how this may be a problem.

This niggle aside the extremely high sales are being counterbalanced somewhat by critical reviews which run a wide gamut. For Steam users, they have also been leaving reviews and the game currently has 24 515 of them, 81 percent of which are positive, leaving Dying Light 2 with a “Mostly Positive” review rating.

  10. Total War: WARHAMMER III.

As we’ve reported in the past Elden Ring and Dying Light 2 have been jockeying for the top spot when it comes to the number of wishlist entries. With the latter now released we expect to see Elden Ring slowly climb up the top selling list as pre-orders flood in ahead of the 24th February release. For now the game comes in sixth place for the past week of top sellers.

Finally It Takes Two is likely here – aside from being a much beloved game – because it is currently 50 percent off until 11th February.
