Last week the first free DLC for Dying Light 2 was released and now there’s even more in the form of the Ronin Pack.
“Our second free DLC for Dying Light 2 Stay Human is coming! The Ronin pack consists of three parts. You’ll be able to claim them at Epic Games, XBox, Playstation and Steam stores to collect the full set. Visit the TechlandGG for more info! The first one’s arriving soon, so stay tuned!” reads the official description.
The TechlandGG mentioned in that description is this website, where players can link their accounts and complete objectives in-game to unlock items. More information about what can be unlocked will be released soon, according to developer and publisher Techland on Twitter.
Static images of the new content are hard to come by but we do have a trailer showing off brief glimpses.
Black, white and red are a a solid colour combination and they are present in the Ronin cosmetics which will be released over three dates:
- Part one | Chestpiece, joggers and sneakers | 21st February.
- Part two | Headgear, bracers and gloves | 23rd February.
- Part three | Weapon | 25th February.
If you didn’t catch on to the Japanese inspiration in these cosmetics there’s a rising sun on the jacket along with (presumably) a drawing of a Ronin. We’re surprised the word “faith”, which is written on the jacket, isn’t in Japanese to really sell it.
Lastly we have to mention the brief look at the weapon that we get a quick look at in the trailer because that’s a terrible weld on the blade there. We’re sure the post post-apocalyptic nature of Dying Light 2 means there aren’t that many skilled welders and tools lying around but that blade is going to snap right in half the second it hits something.
