Xiaomi unveils latest 5G phones with the Redmi Note 11S and 11 Pro+

Earlier today Xiaomi held a live streamed event to showcase its latest 5G mid-range phones as part of its Redmi lineup.

With the event now wrapped up, we have three new devices on the way from the Chinese outfit, with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 11S 5G and Remdi 10 5G.

Naturally the Note 11 Pro+ 5G (pictured above) is the leading offering among this new trio, featuring some impressive components such as a 108MP primary camera on the rear and 120W fast charging functionality. Added to this is 6.67″ FullHD AMOLED display, 4 500mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor internally.

As for the Note 11S 5G, it is packing some impressive elements too, with a Dimensity 810 SoC powering the device and facilitating the 5G connectivity. Other notable aspects include a 6.6″ FullHD display, larger 5 000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and a 50MP primary shooter on the back.

Lastly, there is the Redmi 10 5G for those that are quite cost conscious. A MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset is present, 6.58″ display, 5 000mAh battery, 50MP primary camera and two flavours of 4GB RAM model with 64GB and 128GB storage variants.

As for availability and pricing on these newly unveiled phones, Xiaomi South Africa will likely reveal all come 5th April, when a local live streamed event is scheduled.

For now, recommended pricing Stateside sees the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G start at $369, the Redmi Note 11S 5G begins at $249 and the Redmi 10 5G is listed from $199.

A full rundown of the specs across all three devices can be seen in the table pasted below.

With last year’s Redmi Note 10 series delivering great value for money, it will be interesting to see whether the 11 series can do the same.
