The Batman arrives in Rocket League tomorrow

This week The Batman finally arrives in theatres, but closer to now, The Batman will also arrive in Rocket League.

The latest incarnation of the Batmobile will be added to the jet-assisted car soccer game tomorrow, 2nd March, along with a new Limited Time Mode (LTM) called Gotham City Rumble.

“With the gates of Arkham Asylum unlocked, madness has spilled onto the Rocket League Arenas once again, transforming this noble game into the deadly Gotham City Rumble,” reads the announcement.

“Power-ups in this LTM work the same as Rumble but are themed after the many villains of Batman’s past. Rack up easy clears with The Joker’s Boxing Glove, grapple through the air with Poison Ivy’s Vines, or slingshot the ball behind you with the Bat-Grapnel. Just don’t let Clayface Spikes slip past you for a goal.”

To unlock the cosmetic DLC of the new Batmobile players will need to shell out on The Batman Bundle which costs 1 100 credits and unlocks the following:

  • Batmobile (2022) Body (Dominus Hitbox).
  • Batmobile (2022) Engine Audio.
  • Dark Knight Matte Paint Finish.
  • Batmobile (2022) Wheels.
  • Batmobile (2022) Boost.
  • Batmobile (2022) Trail.
  • Reel Life Decal.
  • The Batman Goal Explosion.

You can see some of these cosmetics in the gallery at the bottom of this page.

The rendition of the latest Batmobile is done rather well here capturing the unique muscle car look of the vehicle while still maintaining the cartoonish stylistic edge of Rocket League.

Many Batmobiles are already in the game with last Halloween seeing the return of the 1989 version, the Tumbler and the DCEU one being made available for purchase together with several cars based on Batman villains like the Joker and Harley Quinn.

As mentioned this crossover will start tomorrow won’t but it won’t last long as it ends on 8th March / 9th March depending on your time zone.
