Rovio has brought back the original version of Angry Birds as a proper remake of the now decade-old game.
Unlike Angry Birds Reloaded this is more of a direct reincarnation.

Harkening back to the golden age of 2012, Rovio Classics: Angry Birds features all of the bird flinging satisfaction of the original Angry Birds game, now rebuilt for modern devices. Get your slingshot fingers ready for some super-satisfying bird-flinging mayhem, and a healthy dose of nostalgia,” the website for the game reads.
Yes it isn’t just “Angry Birds” anymore as it now has “Rovio Classics” in front of its name.
Also from the past is the pricing as this isn’t a free game with adverts as most apps are. Instead this brings back the classic $0.99 price from the past.
At the time of publication $0.99 converts to around R14.42 which is what you’ll be paying on the Apple App Store as there doesn’t seem to be any regional pricing for us right now.
For Android users it’s a bit of a different story as the version on the Google Play Store does have localised pricing at R15.99.
For the money you at least won’t get adverts as that is proudly included in the list of features. The lack of in app purchases (IAP) is also a selling point.

Finally, to cap things off, there’s a trailer for this remake. It seems it’s only available on Twitter now so you will have to put up with the terrible compression on that site, although YouTube is broken right now so maybe this is the better choice anyway.
