Season two of Star Wars: The Bad Batch gets a trailer

Over the last few days Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 has been going on with all manner of reveals, with the latest being a trailer for a second season of The Bad Batch.

The animated show, which acts a follow-up to the Clone Wars which began back in 2008, will arrive on Disney+ later this year. The release window is the US Fall and, for the rest of us that live in countries which prefer to use the months to mark the passing of time, that should be between late September and late December.

Despite being just over a minute in length we see many returning characters outside of the titular Bad Batch, including Emperor Palpatine and the Wookiee Padawan Gungi.

We also want to point out the great music in this trailer including the beat right at the end.

We get a bit more information about the second season thanks to the official Star Wars website which provides highlights from the panel on the second season.

These are:

  1. “The Season 2 trailer is here; it’s got some surprises.
  2. A thrilling clip from next season highlights how “some time has passed,” according to [Executive Producer / Head Writer] Jennifer Corbett.
  3. The Bad Batch have new looks.
  4. Can Crosshair be redeemed? No one is saying.
  5. George Lucas and Dave Filoni named the Bad Batchers.
  6. For Michelle Ang [Omega voice actress] and Dee Bradley Baker [Bad Batch voice actor], their favorite scenes from Season 1 were with each other. “

With Disney+ now available in South Africa local Star Wars fans can watch the first season of The Bad Batch along with most other Star Wars content. The aforementioned prelude to this series, Clone Wars, is on there too, but you may not even have enough time to watch it all before the end of the year thanks to its 133 episodes over seven seasons.
