Activision continues Steam return with a Publisher Homepage

Activision, a publisher that infamously abandoned Steam in an effort to sell games itself and avoid paying Valve a share of the profits, is slowly making its way back to the platform with the latest being a Publisher Homepage.

A Steam Publisher Homepage is a hub to find all the games and other content that the company is offering and Activision’s new one can be found here.

As you can see in the header image above, which is the top of the Publisher Homepage, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is the first game to be advertised. We’re not sure if this was chosen as it’s the big new game from the company or the fact that it heralded Activision’s return to Steam

Looking at more of the page and, according to the filtered section at the bottom, there are 209 products offered by the company broken down into 51 games and 158 pieces of DLC.

Also in this bottom section is the discounts page where six games are currently on sale:

As for when the Publisher Homepage went live we know it was less than a day ago. While there is no date of publication on the page itself, using some Google URL editing we can see that it went live 16 hours ago at the time of writing.

With the Microsoft acquisition on the horizon and Modern Warfare II slated for release in late October, we’ll have to keep waiting to see how this company will operate on Steam and the PC gaming space in general in the future.
