Fall Guys Idol Games launches alongside bug fixes

The latest event in Fall Guys is called Idol Games, but players may be more interested in bug fixes and tweaks that have been implemented alongside it.

These changes were revealed on Twitter accompanied by the header image above:

  • “Improvements to an exploit on Volleyfall where players could bounce the ball on their own side of the court indefinitely
  • Players can no longer get on another team’s track in Rock and Roll
  • Fixed an issue where players are shown messaging that their “rewards will be forfeitted” on Squads when trying to exit the game after elimination
  • Swirly Sleeves pattern is back in inventories
  • Players will no longer clip through the floor by the Jump Ropes in The Swiveller
  • Improvements to camera controls on Volleyfall
  • Hex-a-ring is currently experiencing issues. It may look like players are not erasing tiles, or some may be invisible. We are working on a solution now to make Idol Games fairer and fix this!!!!”

That last issue around Hex-a-ring was addressed again in a second tweet – which also has a fun image attached – announcing that this game mode will be removed from Idol Games and replaced with Blast Ball Trials.

But what is Idol Games?

Live now and running until 18th July, this event is billed as the most difficult set of challenges so far with players vying for points to unlock rewards. Top of the pile of these rewards is the Crown Idol Costume which you can see prominently in the trailer below.

To get this costume you will need 1 800 points in total as it’s broken down into a bottom section for 800 points and a top for 1 000.

To us the costume looks like a mix of Roman gladiator and a Spanish Conquistador.
