Monster Hunter eats up 3 spots in Steam top 10

The release of the Sunbreak expansion has shot Monster Hunter Rise further up the Steam top seller list as the franchise claims three spots out of the 10 best performers on the platform.

This is, as usual, provided by Steam Database (SteamDB), the unofficial tracker of Valve’s store which provides a weekly recap based on revenue generated in the last week.

Due to the way Steam is organised where multiple versions of the same game are listed separately, we see that one title can inhabit more than one spot on the list. We see this here as Sunbreak claims both second and third, while the base game is in seventh.

We also see this same occurrence with F1 22, which is in sixth and tenth.

  1. Steam Deck | 1st last week
  2. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
  3. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak | 7th last week
  4. Raft | 4th last week
  5. DNF Duel
  6. F1 22
  7. Monster Hunter Rise | 5th last week
  8. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands | 3rd last week
  9. Rust | 9th last week
  10. F1 22

The Steam Deck, however, has beat out Monster Hunter once again along with everything else on the store. It has held the top spot for more than a month at this point and with production of the handheld PC ramping it it’s unlikely that sales will come down.

The Steam Summer Sale comes to an end in a few days on 7th July which will likely affect this list when we see it again next Monday. Games on the list such as Rust (50 percent off) and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands (20 percent off) will likely lose positions or fall of entirely once they’re no longer discounted.
