Monster Hunter Rise, Steam Deck continue as top sellers

The latest list of top selling products on Steam is out and, much like the past few weeks, the Steam Deck and Monster Hunter Rise remain on top.

The list, as always, is provided by unofficial tracking site Steam Database (SteamDB) which finds the top sellers by way of revenue generated in the last week.

Once again the Steam Deck sits on top of the pile in first place, repeating its win that it has claimed over more than a month.

With production of the handheld PC ramping up to meet the obvious demand it seems that Valve’s latest hardware will likely keep appearing in this spot or at least near the top of the list.

As for Monster Hunter Rise its sales have been bolstered by the release of the latest paid expansion Sunbreak.

Because of the way Steam is organised one piece of software can appear multiple times with different packages or editions listed separately. We see this happening here as some version of Monster Hunter Rise appears three times.

These continued sales are quite impressive given the various technical difficulties which seem to be affecting the game right now.

  1. Steam Deck | 1st last week
  2. Raft | 4th last week
  3. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak | 3rd last week
  4. F1 22 | 6th last week
  5. Ready or Not
  6. Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Package
  7. Monster Hunter Rise | 7th last week
  8. Rust | 9th last week
  9. It Takes Two
  10. Red Dead Redemption 2.

As for the rest of the list it’s a mixed bag but every title here has been seen before as a top seller.

It should also be remembered that some games are here thanks to sales. The Steam Summer Sale 2022 just wrapped up on 7th July so it was still live during some of the last week, affecting sales and the positions on this list.

With all these factors in mind this latest result really has no surprises. The one exception may be the lack of Elden Ring which was a feature here for many months after its release.

It was, infamously, not discounted for the Summer Sale so we may see the latest FromSoftware game reappear next week with the sale firmly behind us.
