PayFast and PayGate have appointed Brendon Williamson as its new managing director.

Both organisations are subsidiaries of Network International-owned DPO Group in South Africa, with Williamson bringing over 20 years’ of ecommerce experience to the role, specialising in sales, marketing and online fraud management in particular.

“With a focus on taking digitalisation to the next level, both internally and externally, his goal is to continue providing customers with innovative payment solutions and new opportunities for growth,” explains PayFast in a press release sent to Hypertext.

He has been part of the DPO Group for more than 10 years, having fulfilled other executive roles, such as chief sales officer, chief marketing officer, and most recently, head of commercial.

“A big focus of mine will be the people element of the business. I want to ensure that this continues to be an exciting place to work, a space for innovation and creativity, where people want to come to the office to share ideas and strategise. That’s how we remain at the forefront of the ecommerce industry and drive its next iteration,” adds Williamson.
