Cult of the Lamb sells well but can’t dethrone Spider-Man

Cult of the Lamb is proving to be quite successful, especially on Steam where it has clawed its way up the top selling list to find itself in third behind Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and the Steam Deck.

This comes to us from Steam Database (SteamDB), an unofficial tracking platform on the store that reports a weekly top seller list based on the revenue generated in the last seven days.

The Steam Deck in first and Spider-Man in second is the exact same as the previous week’s result so it’s not too surprising to see them at the top of the podium.

Cult of the Lamb, on the other hand, was moved up one spot from its fourth place finish.

  1. Steam Deck | 1st last week
  2. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered | 2nd last week
  3. Cult of the Lamb | 4th last week
  4. Farthest Frontier | 5th last week
  5. Stray | 8th last week
  6. FIFA 23
  7. ELDEN RING
  8. Ready or Not
  9. Valve Index VR Kit
  10. CS:GO Prime Status Upgrade

Looking at the rest of the list and there’s no real surprises to be had with the most unknown title here being Farthest Frontier which we discussed last week as a newcomer to the top seller circle.

The real surprise is likely the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Prime Statue Upgrade which hasn’t appeared on this list for years. We have to assume that, because CS:GO is such a mature game, anyone who wanted to buy this has done so before.

For those unfamiliar the Prime Statue Upgrade was created to make some kind of differentiation in the playerbase after the game went free to play.

“Players with Prime Status are matched with other Prime Status players and are eligible to receive Prime-exclusive souvenir items, item drops, and weapon cases,” reads the description for this paid content.
