In a bit of a surprise a pre-order has topped the list of best sellers for Steam as Destiny 2: Lightfall, plus the Annual Pass, is the most successful piece of software this past week on Valve’s store.
This comes to us, as always, from the unofficial tracking site Steam Database (SteamDB) which reports on the top ten sellers by way of revenue generated in the last week.
For some reason reviews are enabled on this pre-order with 23 left already. Most of them – 95 percent to be exact – are also positive but reading over these reviews reveals that it’s just players asking for no more content to be vaulted.
You’d think that, with a system as hated as the Destiny Content Vault, these reviews would be negative instead.

As for the rest of the list we see that the Steam Deck continues its streak in first place though this isn’t too surprising given how popular it remains and the higher cost per purchase compared to games.
The second best selling game is Total War: Warhammer III which may have been driven by a 10 percent off sale going on right now as part of the wider Warhammer franchise sale going on. There’s also the recently-released Update 2.0.0 which changed and improved much of the game which likely brought players in too.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Cult of the Lamb slip from the top of the list towards the middle and it will be interesting to see if they can come back or will continue going towards the bottom. Both had decent performances so far but it was centred around their respective releases when hype was at its highest.
