F1 Manager 2022 manages podium on top seller chart

Once again we have the top selling list from Steam and, also once again, a new game has managed to make it close to the top in the form of F1 Manager 2022.

Launched on 30th August, the game has managed to finish in third place behind the heavy hitters of Destiny 2: Lightfall pre-orders and the Steam Deck, both of which still hold their second and first place spots respectively, as they did last week.

This comes to us from Steam Database (SteamDB), an unofficial tracker of Valve’s store which creates the top ten list from the titles that have generated the most revenue in the last week.

The launch window for a game is usually when it generates the most money, so we’ll have to see if F1 Manager 2022 has any longevity and can appear on the list in upcoming weeks.

  1. Steam Deck | 1st last week
  2. Destiny 2: Lightfall + Annual Pass | 2nd last week
  3. F1 Manager 2022 | 7th last week
  4. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered | 4th last week
  5. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – GOTY Edition | 8th last week
  6. Dead by Daylight – Resident Evil: PROJECT W Chapter
  7. Cult of the Lamb | 5th last week
  8. Titanfall 2
  9. Hogwarts Legacy | 9th last week
  10. Red Dead Redemption 2

Recurring titles that places somewhere on the list is a theme here with seven of the ten holding some position last week.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice continues to sell thanks to a rather nice 50 percent off sale that has been going on which ends just 10 hours from now at the time of writing. If you’ve been thinking of picking it up at this price you need to move fast.

Also a game of mention here is pre-orders for Hogwarts Legacy. It has recently been discovered that the beloved in-universe sport Quidditch will not be something players can partake in, drawing the ire of the community. Will this backlash slow down pre-orders, especially for hardcore Harry Potter fans? We’ll need to wait for next week to find out.
