iStore will open iPhone 14 pre-orders on 16th September

The latest iteration of Apple’s iPhone was unveiled at a special event on Wednesday evening and iStore has announced when South Africans can place pre-orders.

That date is 16th September, but if you don’t want to pre-order you can simply wait for the local release on 23rd September.

This time around Apple has two iterations of the iPhone 14 with each of those iterations having two models. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are first in the line up retaining the screen notch and last year’s tech.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max do, however, sport a new Dynamic Island and an always-on display. The beefier iteration of iPhone also features an A16 Bionic chip and Emergency SOS Satellite calling.

Sadly, iStore hasn’t announced local pricing for these new iPhone models just yet. We do know that the recommended pricing for the iPhone 14 and 14 plus across the pond starts $799 and $899 respectively. The iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a $1 099 price tag.

As a reminder, iStore facilitates cellular contracts from Vodacom, MTN and Telkom making it a one stop shop for new and old Apple fans alike.

There is no word yet on when the new Apple Airpods or Apple Watch will be available in South Africa.
