As we near December, many are gearing up for rAge Expo 2022. One company getting ready is Intel, which has confirmed that the Intel Africa Masters CS:GO tournament finals will feature at the event in Gallagher Estate Convention Centre in Midrand from 9th to 11th December.
It is also set to be one of the largest events of its kind for the African continent, based on what organisers have arranged in terms of the prize pool.
To that end, Michael James, project director for rAge says, “this is the largest CG:GO cross-continent competition in Africa to date. With a $30 000 (~R544 000) prize pool on offer, the competition will be fierce, and we can’t wait to host the finals.”
“It’s going to be awesome getting together again in person watching a live tournament of this calibre, and we look forward to welcoming the teams from across Africa,” he adds.
With it being the inaugural Intel Africa Masters, the company has identified the need to invest in the African gaming community to provide local players a platform to showcase their talent.
