Hi-Fi Rush sells 2 million, adds Photo Mode

Publisher Bethesda has announced that Hi-Fi Rush now has two million players.
The game has also received a new Photo Mode.
A general update and bug fixes has accompanied this new feature.

After a surprise launch in January with zero prior announcements or advertising, Hi-Fi Rush seems to have become something of a surprise hit as Besthesda announces that the game has two million players.

Published by Bethesda and developed by Tango Gameworks, Hi-Fi Rush managed to make quite the splash in the world of gaming and is still discussed now as March starts, which is quite the feat given the fast paced nature of gaming discourse.

Hi-Fi Rush is available on the Xbox Series X and S, as well as PC, which means we can read some of that discourse in the Steam reviews.

At the time of writing the game has 10 931 reviews with a whopping 98 percent of them being positive. This leaves the game with an “Overwhelmingly Positive” review rating, which is the highest possible on the platform.

This reception wasn’t just launch hype as the recent reviews – 7 008 – are similarly positive at 97 percent which is also Overwhelmingly Positive.

To entice even more players to increase that two million number, or to encourage newcomers, Hi-Fi Rush also has a new feature in the form of the Photo Mode.

Accessed via the game menu, players can use various tools to edit their pictures. The usual mix of camera options, filters and character poses are included. Allies can also be included in shots.

“On Xbox Series X|S, you can check out your photos in the “My Capture” menu on your console. On PC platforms, check the folder where your Hi-Fi RUSH saved games are stored for a folder called “Screenshots.” Once you have your photos ready, there’s only one thing left to do: upload ‘em for the world to admire!” the announcement reads.
