• Sony has announced an Autumn Sale for the PS5, with consoles and bundles receiving a slight discount until 10th April.
• Along with the current-gen console, up to 30 percent discounts are available on selected PS5 and PS4 games.
• There’s also a Spring Sale available from Sony too, which kicked off earlier this week.

As we approach Easter, expect to see a number of specials and deals go live from local retailers. One has already gone live today, with Sony announcing its Autumn Sale, focusing specifically on the PlayStation 5 console and bundles from participating South African retailers.

This is not to be confused with the Spring Sale, although that is available to those locally, which was announced by Sony earlier in the week. Given the company’s calendar works according to the global West, Spring was mentioned, but as we know in SA, this time of year is usually when we begin preparing for Winter.

Back to the sale and Sony is offering R1 000 off of PS5 standalone consoles and bundles, with the offer lasting from today until 10th April.

Along with the discount on the current-gen console, Sony is also offering discounts on some of its exclusive titles.

“In addition, consumers can enjoy up to 30% off across a wide selection of PS4 and PS5 games. That includes The Last of Us Part1, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West,  Gran Turismo 7,  Returnal and many, many more,” local distributor Gamefinity confirmed in a press release sent to Hypertext.

“We are really excited about finally affording the Playstation fanbase access to PS5 Consoles at all participating Retailers, adding to that is the opportunity for these fans who have been so patient to get them at discounted price for a limited period,” added Mario Dos Santos, Gamefinity CEO.
