Is the EVERKI Atlas the last backpack you will ever need?

Backpacks have a reputation for being a type of disposable item that needs to be replaced rather often. This is not because of some kind of consumer trend, but because of the generally poor quality of backpacks on the market and the relatively high amount of stress that this type of product needs to endure.

For many, buying a new backpack is expected, usually when a new school year starts or when going on an overseas trip, because of past experiences with the fragility of what’s on the market.

Thankfully there is at least one company still doing things right to make quality backpacks that last, and that company is EVERKI.

As we explained in our recent introductory article, EVERKI is a brand born out of the frustration that the founders experienced from other companies, leading them to create their own. With a focus on quality materials, expert construction and a limited lifetime warranty for original owners, an EVERKI backpack may just be the last backpack you buy.

A great example of this is the EVERKI Atlas, a big backpack for those who live big, with space for everything you need in work, school, travel and more.

The EVERKI Atlas comes in two variants: one designed for a 15.6 inch notebook , and one for a larger 17.3 inch one. EVERKI builds their bags with protection of expensive electronics in mind, which is why the Atlas has a segmented interior with padded slots for your notebook, tablet or anything else that needs supreme protection.

With a huge carry capacity of 32 litres, there’s little that you can’t fit in the Atlas. For those in need of larger bags to carry more, the disappointment in quality from other brands affects you even more, as larger loads kill bad backpacks faster. With EVERKI’s quality and assurances, the Atlas represents a big bag that can actually carry everything without splitting apart at the seams.

Size and quality aren’t all the Atlas has to offer either, as it’s packed with features. With a focus on travel, for example, EVERKI has engineered several great touches like a bright interior that makes checking the inside easier, a pass-through for trolley hands so your Atlas can sit on top of luggage, a front quick-access slot for documents, magazines or anything else you may need at a moment’s notice when on the go. Even the zippers are designed with this in mind, with the zip going all the way to the bottom of the backpack, so it can be opened a full 180 degrees. This is perfect for packing, unpacking, and allowing security full access so you can get through checkpoints faster.

One of our personal favourite features of the Atlas is the 5-point balance strap system that combines two vertical quick-slide straps with one horizontal strap that goes across the chest. If you have never experienced this kind of strap system in a backpack you are missing out, as it makes the entire experience so much more comfortable and it’s overall just a superior system to the typical two straps.

You may have seen some other manufacturers use a horizontal chest strap before, especially for backpacks intended for hiking and exploration, but EVERKI does things differently with extra padding so the straps feel more like pillows. Compared to the harsh and uncomfortable options from other companies, this is a real gamechanger.
