Who would have thought that free speech absolutist Elon Musk didn’t like free speech when it’s criticising a company he owns.

A San Francisco Judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by X against the Centre for Countering Digital Hate last year. The judge found that the CCDH had met the anti-SLAPP requirements while X had failed to show how CCDH’s publications had affected its data. The judge’s comments amounted to X taking umbrage to CCDH’s reports and attempting to silence the critique and potentially dissuade others from criticiquing X.

Turning to other fumbles, City Varisty and Damelin have lost their higher education registration after they failed to provide audited financial statements from as far back as 2020. Furthermore, salaries for employees across Damelin, ICESA and Lyceum campuses were not paid in December last year.

German software firm SAP has been ordered to pay the Special Investigating Unit R500 million within seven days. This as after it was determine that SAP and Eskom signed dodgy contracts between 2013 and 2016.
