Italian politicians drink more coffee than programmers

Italian political news site, Il Fatto Quotidiano – or The Daily Fact – reports that members of the Sicilian parliament like to drink coffee. And a lot of it.

In a breakdown of a recent budget spend it was revealed that the cafeteria for the Italian island spent around €800 000 in 2013. Using the numbers on The Daily Fact, it works out just on 27 cups of coffee per day, per member of parliament.

Imagine how much Italian programmers would drink if they had unlimited funds and access to good coffee?
