Join IBM and JoziHub’s Bluemix coding workshop for ladies next week

IBM and JoziHub will be a hosting a one-day coding workshop next week for ladies who are interested in developing and business in the ICT sector to help advance their skills and careers.

The first Jo’burg Bluemix Girls’ Night will be hosted on June 10th at JoziHub’s incubator space in Milpark. It’s open to all, whether you’re a seasoned developer or a beginner looking to get started on your first project.

The aim of the event is to introduce attendees to the IBM Bluemix cloud platform for mobile and web app development, which supports several programming languages and services. It’s also geared towards supporting existing Bluemix developers by giving them a place to engage and network.

Guest speakers at the event, include Geekulcha’s Hlulani Baloyi and IBM’s Carolyn Lanzillotti. More speakers will be announced soon.

“We hope to create a more comfortable and nurturing environment to reach technical women who might otherwise not attend our traditional Bluemix/Cloud events,” the organisers said.

You can RSVP for the event on Meetup.
