Lady Dimitrescu & the other winners from PlayStation Blog’s Game of the Year

The PlayStation Blog, an official news site for the gaming side of Sony, has revealed its winners of its Game of the Year 2021 and everyone’s favourite vampire mom Lady Dimitrescu has won her category.

Before we get into the winners, the PlayStation Blog has done something different here after tallying all the votes from the public polls. Instead of simply giving us a winner and maybe some runner-ups, it has instead showed first place all the way down to fourth.

This is to coincide with the different kind of PlayStation trophies: Platinum (first), Gold (second), Silver (third) and Bronze (fourth).

In our list below we’ll just be using numbers.

It’s a long list of winners so, before we get to that, we have to make mention of Hades. The roguelike from Supergiant Games recently made history as the first videogame to win a Hugo Award for its story. Here in the PlayStation Blog Game of the Year, however, it didn’t even manage to make it into the top four in the Best Story category.

Hades appears twice here in the Best Art Direction (four place) and Independent Game of the Year (second place). A real slap in the face for one of the absolute best games from recent years.
