Submit your stickers now for a CS:GO anniversary capsule

Valve has announced that it is now accepting entries for stickers in the CSGO10 sticker contest where fans can have their designed turned into real cosmetic items in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).

The theme of the contest is CS:GO itself, as this capsule celebrates 10 years of the game. Yes as you feel yourself age instantly in this moment, the release date of CS:GO was 21st August 2012 according to its Steam page.

That’s still a few months away, but it will allow Valve to go through the entrants and pick the winners that will go into the capsule.

“All submissions for this event must be completed and submitted to the workshop by July 21st, 2022, and the capsule will release on or around CS:GO’s 10th birthday (August 21, 2022). All items submitted for this event will still be eligible for future sticker capsules,” the announcement reads.

Unlike other videogame content creation contests with a prize, simply being included in the capsule is the reward here. That’s because capsules, crates and other loot boxes that can be opened in CS:GO all require real money, something that the contributors share in with Valve.

For those thinking of entering the 21st July date isn’t all you should be mindful of as your creations need to be properly marked to be picked up for consideration.

“To help sort these themed submissions, please tag them with ‘CSGO10’ in the title on the workshop (e.g. ‘CSGO10 | Sticker Name’). Previous workshop submissions are eligible for the capsule, just make sure to tag them so we can find them more easily,” the announcement continues.

Looking at the workshop and searching up “CSGO10”, there are 238 entries at the time of writing. It hasn’t been long since the contest was announced so that’s a lot of stickers so far, but it’s worth remembering the part about retooling old stickers to work for this contest, so we’re sure that helped boost those numbers.
