Get excited for the Steam VR Fest with a new trailer

The latest event from Valve is called Steam VR Fest and it’s happening soon starting next week on 18th July and continuing until 25th July.

To promote this new kind of endeavour we have a short trailer hosted on the official Steam channel which you can watch in the embed below. It seems that this channel is now used exclusively for trailers and other supporting videos around events for Steam.

As you may have guessed by the name, the Steam VR Fest will be very similar to the Next Fest, a combination of sales and encouragement to play more games by way of available demos. The focus here, of course, is virtual reality.

“Steam VR Fest is a celebration of games that drop players face-first into their favorite worlds. With thousands of VR titles on Steam, we’re excited to host this event celebrating the world of virtual reality,” reads the very short explanation of the event.

The video description provides a link to follow on 18th July, which takes you to the VR section of Steam. Obviously right now there’s nothing to see other than all the games using the “VR” tag on the platform.

While we’re always happy for more sales and demos it seems that Valve is really cranking these out rather fast and we find ourselves without the time to properly take them in or pay them much attention.

Between these smaller “Fest” events and the expected season sales it seems you never have to wait long before some games go on discount on Steam.
