The latest in the world of crossovers is Minecraft x SpongeBob with Mr. SquarePants labelled as “more square than ever” in a rather brilliant marketing move.

This DLC adds in just about every familiar character and location from the show including the familiar memes that flood the internet every day (see the header image above).

Aside from aimlessly enjoying Bikini Bottom inside of Minecraft, there are also six missions to play through including a cooking mini-game to make Krabby Patties.

You can see all of this in the trailer below with our favourite little feature being a costume for the player character which is modelled after Sandy’s suit, which makes sense as she is one of the few air breathing creatures under the sea in the show.

This crossover like the previous Lightyear one will cost players 1 340 Minecoins. This will require the purchasing of, at minimum, a Minecoin bundle of 1 720 coins for $9.99 (~R168). It can be picked up in the Minecraft Marketplace.

There is, however, some free content to be had.
