Creative gives your home office an audio boost

While many are returning to the main office for work, the home office lives on for many more. Even for those not pursuing their nine to five at home, your desk still remains a hub for work and play and as we get deeper into 2023, consider giving it an audio upgrade from Creative.

Anyone familiar with PCs should know the Creative name as an innovator in the audio space with its Sound Blaster technology, a pedigree the company has kept going for all these years and now offers in the form of complete audio systems for your desk, TV, home theatre and more.

One of the most compact offerings in the desk space from Creative is the Pebble family of speakers, categorised by packing huge amounts of quality sound into tiny, spherical bodies.

We’ll get back to that special body shape soon, but today’s focus is the Pebble Pro, the latest and most innovative model from the Pebble family.

The Pro sets itself apart from previous iterations thanks to its RGB lighting, unparalleled connectivity options, higher power output, bigger drivers, better audio technology and more.

Each Creative Pebble Pro satellite speaker features RGB LED lighting accompanied by three lighting effects in a variety of colours: single-colour glow, pulsate mode or colour cycle. You can choose the colour, effect and intensity to suit your setup. This makes for a lovely accent light or a main focus for those who like to keep their desk dark.

For connectivity, the Pebble Pro can be connected with wires, or wirelessly. On the wired front look forward to the classic 3.5 mm audio jack as well as USB and ports for headsets and microphones. Those wanting to ditch the wires can instead opt for a Bluetooth 5.3 connection.

The pebble Pro spherical body is specially designed to direct audio right at you at a 45 degree angle, which Creative has chosen to hit a particular sweet spot for the larger 2.23 inch full-range spider drivers to have the optimal effect.

This small package also makes the Pebble Pro perfect for taking with you on the go, allowing you to connect over Bluetooth when you arrive. On the other end of the spectrum simply install your Pebble Pro in a permanent spot on your desk. The small nature of this speaker system, and the included tech plus connectivity options, offer fantastic flexibility that should suit everyone.

The aforementioned audio tech includes Creative’s Clear Dialog and BassFlex. As you can imagine by the name, Clear Dialog is an audio processing system to make spoken words easier to catch over ambient sounds. Those who have been struggling with poor sound mixing in both TV and movies will love this option, especially as you won’t need to blast the volume just to hear actors convey their lines.

BassFlex, on the other hand, gives owners the subwoofer experience without the subwoofer. BassFlex delivers bass in spades, along with extended low frequency response, without the extra physical hardware. Like Clear Dialog this tech works at all volumes, not just the top end.

The Pebble Pro and the rest of the Creative audio line-up is now available in South Africa.
