• Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 15 series of devices at an Event held on 12th September 2023.
• New Apple Watches are also expected to be showcased for the first time, and it is likely that pre-order information for the new iPhone will be revealed.
• The iPhone 15 is expected to come with faster charging, better night time photography and Dynamic Island for all models in the series.

The latest smartphone from Apple, the iPhone 15, will be finally revealed at an upcoming Apple Event.

The event will reportedly serve as the launch of the smartphone series, including the base iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the 15 Pro, and Pro Max.

Per The Verge, new Apple Watches are also expected to be shown off during the event, titled “Wonderlust”, which will be held on 12th September 2023.

Those interested will be able to watch a livestream of the event on Apple’s official YouTube channel, or on its website.

It is probable that the iPhone 15 series will either become available to purchase, or become open for pre-order in certain countries following the event.

Pre-orders will eventually trickle into South Africa after a few weeks time.

The 12th September date is close to the timeframe indicated by Bloomberg’s resident Apple insider Mark Gurman, who set 22nd September as launch date.

Earlier reports indicated that the 15 series went into mass production only in August, so a late September or October launch was likely.

While no official word has been given about the new line of phones from Apple, rumours suggest it will bring new features never before seen in iPhone devices.

This includes support for faster charging up to 35W, and “state of the art” night time image sensors from Sony.

It is also believed that all the smartphones in the 15 series, including base models will feature Dynamic Island, and will have no physical buttons, which are being replaced in favour of haptic feedback.
