How to tune into tomorrow’s iPhone 15 event

  • Apple is set to host an event tomorrow, where the new iPhone 15 series is expected to be unveiled.
  • The event kicks off at 19:00 South African time under the theme of “Wonderlust.”
  • As many as four new models of iPhone are anticipated for the event.

Tomorrow Apple is set to host its latest live streamed event to debut the highly-anticipated iPhone 15 series of smartphones.

The event itself, kicks off at 19:00 South African time tomorrow night, with Apple hosting said live stream via its official YouTube channel.

We have also embedded the placeholder for said live stream at the end of this post, so be sure to check back in here again at 19:00 tomorrow to see all the action unfold.

Should data, or power, be at a premium, we’ll also be live tweeting (X’ing?) all the notable announcements from the event on our X account.

As for what is expected for the event, as many as four iPhone 15 models have been outlined for unveiling tomorrow evening – the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max.

As for rumoured technology on the new mobile hardware, the entire lineup could be sporting USB Type-C ports. This as a result of increased regulatory pressure from the EU for Apple to standardise its port options, which makes sense given most manufacturers make use of Type-C, not to mention the MacBook and new iPad models doing the same.

New silicon to power the iPhone 15 lineup is anticipated too, with the A17 chip being touted, along with 8GB of RAM for the Pro models. Sticking with the Pro flavours, titanium unibody cases are being mentioned, with the Pro Max set to feature a new periscope lens on the rear, which Apple will be focusing on quite extensively in the presentation.

Lastly worth mentioning, as is often the case with Apple’s mobile hardware, is a sizeable price increase, especially for the iPhone 15 models housing 256GB of internal storage.

With past devices failing to push the boundary as far as innovation goes, the pressure is building on Apple to deliver something more worthwhile than we have seen in recent years.
