Today marks a full year since Elon Musk completed his acquisition of the social media platform and crowned himself as Chief Twit, having first signalled his intention to do so in April of last year for $44 billion.
With i’s still needing dotting and t’s awaiting crossing on the Microsoft purchase of Activision Blizzard, this deal still remains the most expensive in the technology sector to date.
Whether that title still applies given the recent rebranding of the platform to X remains to be seen, but even with Linda Yaccarino onboard as CEO, it is still Elon Musk that is pulling the strings and calling the shots as Chief Twit.
