Security experts at Trustwave sent word that they’ve just opened up a new “ethical hacking lab” in their Chicago offices.
They’ve included a little video of their ethic hackers (basically penetration testers who help clients discover vulnerabilities in their firewalls and networks) at work.
What’s neat – and the reason we’re linking to it – is that there’s a nice description of how ATM skimmers work and how captured skimmers from petrol stations are cracked to find out who’s card details have been stolen.
It’s a little brief, but interesting nonetheless.

Trustwave’s ethical hacking is pretty intensive – they gave us a demo of how engineers go under cover to get physical access to buildings about this time last year.
