Despite Game Pass Warhammer 3 is the Steam top seller

When Game Pass started to become popular and include day one releases, there was some worry that people would stop buying these new games outright. This has been proven wrong again last week as Total War: Warhammer III was the best selling game on Steam.

This comes from third party tracker Steam Database (SteamDB) that provides a weekly roundup of the best performers on the platform by revenue generated in that week.

Total War: Warhammer III launched on 17th February and is also available to PC Game Pass subscribers for no extra money.

Also launched on 17th February, albeit not on Game Pass, is The King of Fighters XV. It appears twice on this list because of the way Steam is organised where several versions of a single game are listed separately.

Lost Ark manages to stay in the top list – see below – after it absolutely dominated last week. Due to its multitude of versions it ate up five of the top ten spots in the last roundup.

  1. Total War: WARHAMMER III
  2. ELDEN RING
  3. Dying Light 2 Stay Human
  4. Lost Ark Vanquisher Starter Pack
  5. Cyberpunk 2077
  6. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition
  7. Valve Index VR Kit Package
  8. THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV
  9. THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV
  10. Dread Hunger

Elden Ring, Dying Light 2 and the Valve Index regularly appear on this list so it’s not too surprising seeing them back. Destiny 2 pops up a lot too but it’s here because of the imminent launch of The Witch Queen.

Cyberpunk 2077 returns to the top seller club thanks to the release of the 1.5 patch that attempts to fix many aspects of the game, add in new content and, at least on console, bring the game into the current generation.

The one real outlier here is Dread Hunger. Listed as a social deduction game on Steam this indie title left Early Access on 26th January.

“A game of survival and betrayal. Eight Explorers path their ship through the unforgiving Arctic. Among the crew, two traitors call on dark powers to undermine them,” reads the game description.
