Lost Ark Founder’s Packs make up half Steam’s top sellers

With another week behind us we can review what sold well on Steam and, while Dying Light 2 nabs first place, Lost Ark comprises 50 percent of the list.

This top selling list is once again provided by Steam Database (SteamDB) which looks at the top selling games on Valve’s store by revenue generated.

From that metric Lost Ark paid founder’s packs claim second, third, fourth, sixth and ninth places here.

Dying Light 2 was first last week and continues the trend here with multiple entries too as different editions of the game are listed separately on Steam. The success of this game, however, was easy to see coming as the game was the second highest wishlisted title on Steam behind Elden Ring, which also appears on this list.

Lost Ark then feels like it came out of nowhere and took over, especially impressive as it’s not available through Steam in some countries, including South Africa. Trying to access the game or any of its founder’s packs in our country will bring up a page stating that it’s unavailable.

“Embark on an odyssey for the Lost Ark in a vast, vibrant world: explore new lands, seek out lost treasures, and test yourself in thrilling action combat in this action-packed free-to-play RPG,” reads the Steam description which we were able to view by using a VPN.

  1. Dying Light 2 Stay Human
  2. Lost Ark Platinum Founder’s Pack
  3. Lost Ark Bronze Founder’s Pack
  4. Lost Ark Gold Founder’s Pack
  5. ELDEN RING
  6. Lost Ark Silver Founder’s Pack
  7. Total War: WARHAMMER III
  8. Dying Light 2 Stay Human
  9. Lost Ark Vanquisher Starter Pack
  10. Dying Light 2 Stay Human

With Dying light 2 and Lost Ark eating up so many spots on the list the only outliers are the aforementioned Elden Ring and Total War: Warhammer III.

The anticipated strategy game is out on 17th February and, with all games based on Warhammer and 40K, we’ll need to see how it terns out quality wise.

The Total War series and even this Warhammer subseries have a proven track record but with licences owned by Games Workshop it’s still a coin flip when it comes to how things will shake out.
