htxt.africast – Podcast in the Multiverse of Madness

Today is not only the release of a new episode of the africast, but also the latest MCU film in the form of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

We’ve seen this latest outing of Doctor Strange ahead of its public release today, but before that let’s talk about what else happened this week.

First up is Mega Construx, which has recently made a big return to South Africa and offering up buildable sets of licences like He-Man. One of these sets is a the Havoc stuff, a huge buildable staff based on the one wielded by Skeletor. We have not only built it to report back on the experience, but we will also have one to give away soon.

Next up is TikTok which is looking to give big content creators a slice of the pie just like YouTube does. While this is welcome, we do worry that licensing issues will come back to bite this arrangement just like it has on YouTube and Twitch.

Lastly, we’ve got a journalist in the field this week at the ECOM Africa 2022 and we’re providing recaps of some interesting developments in the world of ecommerce in South Africa. One of the big topics of the event is how convenience will likely be king as more South Africans shop from home.

Back to the MCU now and we’ve provided a full written review for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

You can find a link to that, and all the other stories we mention in the africast, in the list below. We’ll have a more casual discussion about the movie in this africast as well as look back at past movies from director Sam Raimi and how those projects influenced Doctor Strange.
