Lockdown lessons from four SMEs

This podcast is sponsored by Creality

When COVID-19 reached every landmass on Earth, governments rightfully took a cautious approach and urged people to stay home and reduce contact with others.

This meant that all of our lives had to change and this was especially true in a professional sense. Overnight, companies that may have been toying with the idea of digitalisation had to move online. Employees had to be setup to work from home and the server down the hall had to be connected to the internet.

Unfortunately, not all businesses survived the pandemic and as job losses go, Stats SA reminds of the grim news every quarter.

However, some businesses capitalised on the pandemic and pivoted to accommodate the needs of other businesses who needed to get online or who needed services not previously considered. For this episode of The Discourse we spoke to four businesses about the pandemic, how they adapted, what they learned and how their businesses are going today.
