The good, bad, and the ugly of reboots and remakes

By now you’ve liken come face-to-face with Denis Villeneuve’s Dune Part 2 either through the many, many memes or by seeing it for yourself. The film is being praised for its cinematography, sound design and the performances of every member of the cast. Frankly, it puts the theory that Frank Herbert’s Dune is unfilmable, to bed.

Of course, the world of Dune has been on the silver screen before when David Lynch released his interpretation of the book in 1984. That film hasn’t aged well which you can see for yourself with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.

With the success of the Dune remake, we discuss remade and rebooted films as a whole in this episode of Geeks Love Lists. You can find our lists below and as always you can subscribe directly to our podcasts on YouTube and Spotify.
