htxt.africast – November releases that have our interest

With a new month dawning next week, we’re taking a look at the games, movies and series releases that have piqued our interest in the month ahead.

Ahead of that though we take a look at the news of the week.

First up, Eskom is in for some debt relief. Earlier this week Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana revealed that government would take on a third but as much as two third of Eskom’s R400 billion debt. This debt relief will come with conditions, but it should help Eskom focus on plant performance and capital investment.

Then, similarly, Sanral will have its R47 billion debt taken care of by local and national government. Part of this relief could see the scrapping of etolls. Introduced in 2013, drivers have been hesitant to adopt etolls due to their perceived high costs. Government has also never been able to enforce the province’s electronic toll system in any meaningful way. Could this finally be the death knell of etolls?

Then we discuss the games we’re looking forward to including God of War Ragnarok and Warhammer 40 000: Darktide. We also discuss the movies and series we’re looking forward to, most of which are arriving on Netflix in November.
