Elden Ring’s three Colosseums are now open

  • Elden Ring’s Patch 1.08 arrives with new arenas to do PvP battle in.
  • The Colosseums are located in Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell.
  • FromSoftware has also introduced a number of balance changes to PvP combat as part of this free update to all players.

Among the many oddities within Elden Ring, the Colosseums littered around the map caught the attention of many.

There are three such Colosseums in the Lands Between and today as part of Patch 1.08, players can enter these buildings and do battle with one another.

The Colosseums are located in Limgrave, Ohio Caelid and Leyndell with each offering a different combat experience.

In Limgrave, players can participate in either United Combat or Combat Ordeal. United Combat is a team fight where players can respawn until the fight ends. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins. Combat Ordeal is a free-for-all fight where the player with the most points wins.

The scarlet lands of Caelid will play host to Duels as well as United Combat and Combat Ordeal. The difference here is that Spirit Ashes are enabled so expect plenty of Mimic Tears and Black Knife Tiches.

Finally, the Leyndell Royal Colosseum will play host to Duels where the first to slay their opponent wins.

Alongside this update, FromSoftware has added five new hairstyles you can choose from.

There are also several balance changes to the PvP side of Elden Ring, none of which affect single-player or co-op modes. You can find the patch notes for the update here.

The update itself weighed in a 1.6GB on Steam but your size may vary according to the platform. The Colosseum update is free to all Elden Ring players on all platforms the game is available.

All eyes will be on Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards on Thursday where it’s widely believed that Game of the Year is a two-horse race between Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarök.

This has proved to be a contentious debate in the htxt office and we’re not saying who our pick is for anything less than a few hundred Euros.

We are secretly hoping for an Elden Ring DLC announcement at the Game Awards.
